The VSB Forum

VSB issues discussion are be broken into five work groups in order for progress to be made more efficiently (and yet documented so we all can keep the whole project in mind). Five separate forums are seeded and continued on the five available forum pages here:

You participate in the forum by e-mailing your contributions to either all of the VSB participants or a working group's members. Include Bruce in all messages you want moderated and placed in these forum pages (unless a work group member is doing the moderation for your working group). The appropriate distribution list can be found on our VSB Users page.

We will use the Jira project tracking software for discussing issues, tasks, and bugs with code related to the VSB. Jira is the marketing leader by far in helping focus discussions on particular code or code flowcharts/diagrams (UML preferred). Jira excels at connecting features, issues, and bugs with software components such that ideas can be mentioned in relation to the software architecture currently being used for modeling. Other threads of discussion can be generated for high level thoughts not specific to code.

Our VSB Jira Forum will be available upon the distribution of user accounts (and thus private just among ourselves). E-mail Bruce if you would like to get your user account early before I load hash through and load all the issues we've been talking about to date. Otherwise, I will e-mail you with your account information as soon as the system is ready for our use.

Meanwhile, the issues will be laid out on this page here and we can discuss them in terms of what the most important issues are and how they interrelate. Such discussion will help us in seeding our secure, on-line system anyway.

Issues

Based on our kick-off meeting, and basic computer science tenets, it appears our main issues for discussion can be broken out by the workgroups identified above. Issue lists and discussion have been broken out within those pages, but ...
