'Earth Revealed: A View of our Planet from Space' public programs, April and May 2009

The public program series 'Earth Revealed: A View of our Planet from Space' was a Pacific Science Center special event. It included developing and presenting an activity for PSC's 'Earth Revealed' public events.

The program involved nine hours of professional development workshops covering best practices in communicating current science to a lay audience. The hands-on activity was set up to explain river sediment patterns to visitors and challenge them to identify such patterns as well as natural and man-made structures on MODIS satellite images.

The ‘Earth Revealed' public program series reached hundreds of school children, families and adults.
