UW Land Surface Hydrology Research Group

Our main research interest is modeling and predicting the role of land hydrology in the climate system, and understanding the nature of hydrologic variability and change as they are related to changing climate and land cover/land use. We do so through a combination of hydrologic modeling, and diagnosis of contemporary and retrospective in situ and remote sensing data. While much of our work is at regional, continental, and global scales, we also have modeling and prediction interests at the small watershed scale.
