Earth Observing System - Amazon Project
Biogeochemistry

Our biogeochemical interests lie in ecosystem processes which influence the river chemistry of the major tributaries of the Amazon. Currently, there are two affiliated projects that are working on the biogeochemical aspects of the Amazon River basin:
AARAM: Andean Amazon Rivers Analysis and Monitoring Project
CAMREX: Carbon in the Amazon River Project
Specific research topics deal with biogeochemical modeling of large systems, the interface between the land and the rivers and the importance of the role of floodplains in modeling the biogeochemical aspects of the basin.
